Hear a melody you cannot see and write it down. The staff shows only how many notes to listen for — one cross per note, no rhythm, no key — and you notate what you hear on a second, editable staff: pitches and rhythm, with a duration palette, accidentals and rests.
Play the melody as often as you like, sound the tonic for reference or hold it as a drone, and set the tempo you need. When you are ready, reveal the answer: the real notation appears and every note you wrote is marked right or wrong. Choose the scale, melodic complexity, voice range, meter and bar count, and nothing is saved between sessions except your options. There is also sight-singing practice, interval ear training, chord progression ear training and a metronome, or go back to the Solfege home page. JavaScript must be enabled to use the app.
